How to Request Account Deletion
What to Include in Your Request
Please include the following information in your email:
- Email address associated with your Routelette account
- Name (if you provided one during registration)
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve)
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your account information (email, name, profile)
- Your route preferences and settings
- Your route generation history
- Any routes you've published or shared
- Your subscription information (if applicable)
- All associated analytics and usage data
⚠️ Important Notice
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all your routes, preferences, and any premium subscription benefits.
Data Retention
After processing your deletion request:
- Immediate: Account access is disabled
- 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted
- Retained: Anonymous analytics data (no personal identifiers)
- Legal: Some data may be retained if required by law
Processing Time
We typically process account deletion requests within 5-7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been successfully deleted.
Alternative: Temporary Account Deactivation
If you're unsure about permanent deletion, you can:
- Simply stop using the app (no data collection when inactive)
- Disable location services to prevent route generation
